Back Bay True Value Hardware is a small, 2000 sqft neighborhood hardware store. Located on Newbury Street, Boston's historic shopping district, the store has a long history and strong local customer base.

The primary appeal of the small store is it's high level of personalized service and the store's ability to stock various items critical to the neighborhood.

The goal of the identity was to create a dynamic, yet classic brand system to bring this local hardware store up to par with its high-end retail neighbors.

The dark blue color is a cool tone that complements the warm wood and brick interioir of the store. A Baskerville typeface connotes the store's long history and creates a good balance to the dynamic logo.
